Christopher Holmes is Vice President for Manufacturing Insights in Asia/Pacific and is responsible for driving the overall direction of the manufacturing research in the region. Chris has over 16 years of experience in manufacturing, from research and development management, through new product development, to shop floor experience.

Prior to joining IDC, Chris pioneered the development and implementation of the operation and technology roadmapping (OTR) program while working for Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), part of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A-Star) in Singapore. He has led over 50 roadmaps helping Singapore-based manufacturing companies develop plans to enable their decision making process in the development and acquisition of new operations technology and product development plans.

Before relocating to Singapore, Chris worked in the aerospace sector in the UK, initially as a research engineer leading projects to reduce lead time in aero-engine overhaul, and then working towards his doctorate aiding a first-tier aerospace supplier to speed up its new product development process.

Chris has written many articles and given many lectures in the areas of technology management and product development. He is a certified professional facilitator (CPF) by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).

Chris holds a Doctor of Engineering (EngD) degree from Warwick University, UK. This was completed while working in industry and as part of the Warwick Manufacturing Group. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree from the University of Glamorgan, UK, again, completed while working in industry and a Bachelor of Science degree from The City of Birmingham Polytechnic, UK.

David C. T. Chung is holding three distinctive IT leadership roles in DuPont Asia Pacific region. He is appointed as IT Manager for (1) DuPont Operations in Asia Pacific Region; (2) DuPont Greater China; and (3) Agricultural and Nutrition Platform, Asia Pacific.

David began work with DuPont in 1984 in Hong Kong, and over the next several years, had been spearheaded to build up the IT infrastructure in Hong Kong / China to support the growth and the business expansion. In 1993, David was transferred to United States and had various assignments in DuPont’s head office in Wilmington and at plant site in Texas. In 1997, he returned to Hong Kong and was named as the Regional IS Manager for DuPont Nylon Enterprise, Asia Pacific Region.

Since 2004, David has been assigned to be responsible for IT for DuPont Operation in Asia Pacific region as the result of transformation of DuPont's business and operation organization. Later, he has taken up Greater China as part of the geographical responsibility as DuPont continues to grow and invest in China. In October of 2006, David is assigned to take up the additional responsibility as Platform IT Leader for Agricultural and Nutrition Platform.

David is Six Sigma Green Belt certified, a member of the APICS The Association of Operations Management, and a member of the Asia Pacific Research Board.

An active participant in industry organisations, Mark currently serves as a Vice President for Supply Chain Asia, an independent community organisation for supply chain professionals to 'connect, communicate and collaborate'.

Mark's 15 years in the Asia Pacific region has involved business development initiatives across ten Asian countries, including extensive experience in China, where he held executive positions at Platinum Logistix, ModusLink, Exel Contract Logistics and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.

In Hong Kong, Mark is an elected Council Member at the Hong Kong Logistics Association, serves as the Chair of the Logistics Committee at the British Chamber and was previously Vice Chair of the Logistics Committee at the American Chamber. He has also served as Honorary Chairman of the China Supply Chain Council and Vice Chair of the Shanghai AmCham Logistics Committee.

Mr. Steve Siu

Mr. Steve Siu, Director and Chief Information Officer of Oriental Overseas Container Line Ltd (OOCLL) and Chief Executive Officer of CargoSmart Limited (CS), has been in the logistics industry and technology profession for over 20 years. He had held product development and consulting positions at Cable & Wireless and Jardine Logica Ltd before joining the Oriental Overseas Group.

Mr. Siu has a Master degree from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program, a Master of Science degree in Telematics, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Essex of United Kingdom.

Under his role as the Chief Information Officer of OOCLL, Mr. Siu oversaw the development and refinement of the business model and infrastructure of IRIS-2, the company's object-based client/server information systems. In 1999, OOCLL was a Computerworld Smithsonian Award finalist for its innovative object-oriented information systems. Two other international liner companies had actually acquired IRIS-2 for their operations because of its functionality.

Under his role as the Chief Executive Officer of CS, a wholly own subsidiary of the Orient Overseas (International) Ltd, Mr. Siu has conceptualized and overseen the development and evolution of CS's online portal since it was launched on October 11, 2000. CS is now one of the most advanced applications and integration services providers offering software as a service (SaaS) for the ocean container transportation industry. More than 45,000 members including importers, exporters, and transportation intermediaries are using CS to help managing their shipments with multiple carriers throughout the shipment cycle. CS's shipment management products include tools to help its users plan, process, monitor, and share their shipment information so that they can manage their shipments at ease with full visibility for planning. Mr. Siu will continue devoting his energies in modeling a complete end-to-end solution for supply chain management.

For the past 20 years, Mr. Siu has been successful in sustaining the leading edge for the Oriental Overseas Group in information technology through alignment of IT solutions for all systems users. In the years to come, Mr. Siu will be continuously leveraging new technologies for developing new quality business software applications for enhancing the competitive advantages of the Group.

As community responsibility is one of OOCLL's core values which has enabled the company to achieve various recognition from the industry as well as from the community over years, Mr. Siu had initiated a sponsorship for the Corporate Project of the HKUST Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management in 2006. John Paul brings to TANDBERG many years of experience as a global operations executive with P&L responsibility leading innovations in manufacturing, quality and engineering. His Industry experience includes telecommunications, process controls, military avionics, consumer goods and medical equipment design and manufacturing. He has been a successful senior quality officer implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods, including developing strategic sourcing partnerships that increased competitive advantage. Wilfred Kwan, Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for Network Operations, Engineering, IT, and Product Management. Mr. Kwan previously served as Chief Technology Officer of Asia Netcom and earlier as Senior Vice President of Network Operations of Asia Global Crossing.

With more than 19 years of experience in the telecom industry, Mr. Kwan's experience ranges from software development and integrated circuit design to product development, network planning and operations. Mr. Kwan joined ANC from WorldCom Asia Pacific, where he was the Director of Operations responsible for overall operational efficiencies such as MTTR, on-time delivery and operations cost. He also led the implementation of ISO 9000 and cross-departmental processes for quality assurance at WorldCom. Mr. Kwan has also held various management positions with Global One, Lucent Technologies, Motorola and Nortel. Since 1999, Mr. Kwan has served as an advisory committee member to OFTA in Hong Kong.
