Mr. Terick Chiu

As an Executive Partner for the Gartner Executive Programs, Terick works with CIOs across North Asia supporting Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, assisting CIOs in many first tier organisations in a wide range of strategic information technology decision matters. Terick is responsible for providing personal advisory to CIOs from IT strategy formation, positioning of IT organisation, technology selection to IT organisation transformation.

Prior to joining Gartner, Terick was the Asia Pacific Regional IT Director for MindShare and GroupM, the largest and leading advertising media group in Asia Pacific supporting 25 offices and 3000 users. Key achievements included leading the transformation of the IT operation to support rapid business growth and established best practice IT operation processes across the whole Asia Pacific region.

Previously, Terick also took on regional management roles in a number of companies including MRO Software in Asia and IBM Global Services in Australia providing IT advisory and services to many leading organizations in Asia Pacific.

Terick has a degree in Computer Science from University of Sydney and a post graduate degree with Australia Graduate School of Management.

Mr. Ashley Veasey

Ashley Veasey is CIO of Standard Chartered Bank, Hong Kong. He is an experienced technology leader with a career that spans over 20 years in retail, investment and wholesale banking.

In his current role, Ashley is responsible for Standard Chartered's operations, systems development and technology infrastructure in Hong Kong. Under his leadership, the Bank is successfully leveraging smartphone technology to find new ways to engage with and address the changing needs of customers.

Ashley has worked in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam over the past 10 years with the Bank.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he held senior technology positions with JP Morgan and Citibank.

Apart from his responsibilities as CIO, Ashley is active in Standard Chartered's sustainability programmes and is a Global Ambassador for the Bank's Living with HIV programme.

Ashley interests include travel, digital photography and Italian motorbikes.

Geoff has over 25 years' experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T), having held senior roles or consulting extensively in a number of industry sectors; notably in Telecommunications, Petroleum, IT, Finance, Defence, Retail and Hospitality. Always having a strong technology focus, Geoff has held traditional IT&T staff roles as well as broader R&D, strategic marketing and corporate planning positions.

From 2000, Geoff was the Group Enterprise Architect for Dairy Farm International (DFI); then the VP Technology - Hotel Development for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) until mid-2010; he continues to provide IT governance services to DFI's and MOHG's parent company, Jardine Matheson Limited.

Professionally Geoff's very strong background in Enterprise Architecture led naturally to IT strategy, governance and risk management. His successful transition into broader management roles outside of IT as a Business-Technology professional has heightened his understanding of the challenges faced by organisations in achieving convergence, not just alignment, of IT with the business.

Geoff is a well-respected technology commentator in the Asia Pacific region especially in the areas of IT strategy, security and governance. Geoff is an Australian, married with two children and lives in Hong Kong. He holds a MBA in Finance from the University of Technology Sydney and is a Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association), a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS); and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Mr. Michael Mudd

Mike Mudd is the Chief Representative of the OCA in the region, please see (www.opencomputingalliance.org) He brings many years of regional experience to the OCA, encompassing Japan to Australia and China to India. This region, home to half the world's population is also amongst the most dynamic and challenging for the ICT industry. He is based in Hong Kong and administers the OCA through his own company, Asia Policy Partners LLC.

Before joining the OCA, he was Director of Public Policy for Asia Pacific for one of the world's leading IT associations, CompTIA, opened the A-P office in Hong Kong, in 2004. Prior to this Mike was a Senior Manager with Standard Chartered Bank PLC, a major UK emerging market bank in the wholesale banks e-commerce group. Previously he was the Commercial Director for the e commerce division of the Noble Group, Asia's fastest growing trader of physical commodities.

With 32 year's experience in multicultural management in the Asia Pacific region, including extended assignments in China and Vietnam, Mike brings to the OCA hands on experience of working with high-level decision makers in both government and industry. Holding positions in general management in the information/service and communication industries, he has a proven track record in developing pro-business positions by working with governments from Minister, Vice Minister and Director head level and CEO's MD's, CFO's, CTO's, CIO's, in industry.

Mike studied at the University of Western Australia where he read economics and has written detailed research reports on a number of Asian economies on the economic impact of technology and science, and regularly contributes to regional media on the IT industry on open trade and the positive impact to development of emerging economies that ICT brings.

He is a presenter at regional IT forums, including OECD and APEC events and is an appointed expert to the ISO in Geneva for JTC-1 for IT related standards. An invited advisor on ICT in Vietnam, he was also recently appointed an advisor to the Ministry of Information and Communications, Thailand, and is also head of the Business Advisory Group in the ongoing US - Vietnam ICT Dialogue. He also represented CompTIA and the IT industry at the Sixth WTO Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong in 2005.

Mike also regularly acts as chairman, moderator and speaker at regional ICT events; is a frequent contributor to the business press. He is an active member of the IT, IP and Telecom committees at a number of Amcham's in Hong Kong, Beijing, Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi, where he is the Chair of the IT, IP and Telecom's Committee, since 2007.

When not occupying seat 54C on Cathay Pacific, Mike enjoys boating in Hong Kong with his wife, Lily. He recently completed a long-standing dream to sail around Cape Horn, Chile, as skipper of a 13-metre alloy sloop.

Mr. Michael K. M. Leung

Michael Leung was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Bank of America (Asia) in March 2000 . Supported by a team of over 240 associates, he manages the Bank's IT functions in its entirety, and also heads up operations planning, products support and corporate services functions.

Michael has many years of local and international experience in IT, focusing largely in the banking and finance industry. Before his current position, he had worked with a number of regional banks in IT and business development positions. Michael's earlier career was in business consulting and sales support with three leading international firms in Europe, Australia and Hong Kong.

Mr Leung holds a Master's degree from The Netherlands and a Bachelor from CUHK. He has attended several executive programs at LBS, MIT Sloan, and has a 1st honor diploma from Retail Banking Graduate School at University of Virginia. A Fellow of the HK Computer Society and HK Institute of Directors, Mr. Leung is a seasoned speaker and panelist on a range of topics.

Micky's currently manages the extended arms of Global Information & Technology Risk Governance (I&TRG) for EMEA and APAC regions. He holds the end-to-end responsibility from defining policies and procedures to implementing control processes (e.g. self assessments and mitigation programmes) in I&T Risk/Security and drives a consistent I&T risk governance framework across the Bank. The Regional Teams provide guidance to their respective regional businesses and Global Technology Organization in the application of I&T Security related policies and regulatory requirements, and assist them in their effort to identify and manage these risks.

Micky has held various management positions in IT risk, Infrastructure management and Audit with JPMorgan and Citibank prior to his current role.


Mr. Richard Leung

Richard Leung joined Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) in October 2011. He is currently the Co-Head of HKEx’s IT Division. In his position, Mr. Leung works with the Platform Development team to spearhead a number of strategic system developments including the next generation market data and securities trading systems, as well as the central gateway development.

Mr. Leung has worked with exchange and financial sector technology over the past two decades. Prior to joining HKEx, Mr. Leung was the Chief Technology Officer for Chi-X Global, where he was responsible for directing trading platform development, technical support and operations activities for all of the company’s market centres globally.

Mr. Leung joined Chi-X Global in conjunction with Chi-X Global’s 2008 acquisition of Cicada. Upon joining Cicada in 1999, he established a technology centre in Hong Kong responsible for software development and related support activities for the company’s real-time mission critical solutions for exchanges. Before joining Cicada, Mr. Leung held a 14-year career with Dow Jones Telerate in the Asia Pacific region, where he served in various senior technical positions. As head of technical development, he focused on developing product solutions to meet regional requirements, including local language financial terminals and the integration of regional exchange data.

Mr. Leung holds a Master of Science degree in E-Commerce from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Mr. Dennis Lee

Lewis has over 25 years' international experience in risk management, information technology and project management, specializing in the banking and finance industry. In particular, Lewis directs information security strategies for enterprises for more than a decade, and received the Information Security Leadership Achievements honor from (ISC)2 in 2009.

Lewis previously served as a Vice President for Bank of America, and headed a number of different functions including Information Security, IT Compliance, Technology Risk Management, Internal Control and Project Management. Prior to this, Lewis was the Principal IT Auditor and also leaded the worldwide financial system development for American Express. While most of these assignments were with regional responsibilities, Lewis has offices based in different countries including China, Hong Kong, and Australia.

Mr. Russell Yan

Russell Yan is Regional Director, Greater China at Arbor Networks. In this role he is responsible for the company’s operations in the Greater China region.

Yan joined Arbor in April 2007. Prior to joining the company, he was employed as a senior executive by various US and Asia-based technology companies, such as Network Associates, Network General and Nettasking.

Yan is a graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.


Mr. James Conway

As the Regional Director, James Conway currently heads the Asia Pacific Sales organisation for Actuate, winning business in countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, India and Japan. Previously, James held a number of executive positions at Actuate including Director of Channels for EMEA and UK Senior Account Manager where he was responsible for new-name business and named accounts, selling Performance Management Solutions into Government and Corporate sectors. Throughout his 10 years with Actuate, James has worked closely with customers, across a variety of business verticals, to help integrate and deploy Actuate technology to address critical business issues. Mr. Woo Wen Siang

Woo has more than 15 years of experience in Information Technology and commands a proven technical and working knowledge of Actuate BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tools). As the Technical Manager, Woo is responsible for managing key strategic client relationships and helping them in successfully implementing their BI requirements. Some of his customers include Manulife Japan, Daimler Southeast Asia, HSBC Korea and Allianz Malaysia. Woo graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Computer Science. Mr. Kenneth Ma

Mr. Kenneth Ma joined CITIC Telecom CPC (formerly known as CPCNet Hong Kong Limited) in June 2000 as an Account Manager and was promoted to General Manager, Hong Kong Sales in March 2010. Mr. Ma is responsible for leading CITIC Telecom CPC’s sales and operations in HK, enhancing partner and channel relationships, and formulating effective sales strategies to capture new target customer segments.

Prior to joining CITIC Telecom CPC, Mr. Ma worked for Nanyang Commercial Bank as the Account Officer, serving key corporate clients for 3 years. With over 13 years of sales and management experiences, including 10 years of which were focused on communications and information security solutions industries, Mr. Ma has equipped with full market knowledge and experience for leading the HK sales team to expand the market share.

Mr. Ma is a certified NLP practitioner with extensive people management experience. He has delivered a wide range of professional presentations to multi-national corporations, public associations and industry conference. He also dedicates himself to providing trainings and development to sales professionals, with many of them were being recognized in the Distinguished Salesperson Award (DSA).

Mr. Ma holds a BBA Degree in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.


Mr. Benson Shum

Benson has 27 years of banking and consulting experience. Prior to joining Dell, he was the Banking Solutions Leader for Greater China at Capgemini. Benson has also been with Deloitte and IBM Consulting leading various strategy, business and process consulting projects for major institutions, including state-owned commercial banks and multi-national companies. In 2002, he was the COO for a Beijing-headquartered outsourcing company with Deutsche Bank and IFC of the World Bank as major shareholders. In 1999, he set up the first virtual bank in HK as COO for the bank after spending 16 years holding various executive positions at the Chase Manhattan Bank. Benson graduated with MBA and Industrial Engineering degree at the University of Toronto.


Mr. Richard F. Feldmann

Rich is a recognized thought leader in the financial services industry and financial oriented solutions with over 35 years of domestic and international experience in general management, sales, finance, and information technology.

In November 2010, Rich joined worldwide open source leader, Red Hat Inc. as the Global Director of Financial Services. In this capacity, he is responsible for Red Hat's global financial services strategy and key partner alliances. Before joining Red Hat, he was Managing Director of Microsoft's $1.4 billion North American Financial Services business with overall responsibility for industry strategy, marketing, solutions sales, and partner management.

Prior to joining Microsoft in 1998, Rich held a variety of senior management positions in the financial and technology industries including senior vice president for a regional brokerage and investment banking firm; chief financial officer for a software/data processing company; and vice president of currency risk management for a money center bank. In the early 90s, Rich founded a successful consulting firm based in California's Silicon Valley to provide banking & treasury related services to many of the Valley's most prominent firms. He began his career as an auditor and information management consultant.

Rich holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maine and a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin. He is a certified public accountant (retired) and has held NASD Series 7 and Series 24 licenses. He and his wife Tracy live in the San Francisco Bay Area with their son Ryan.


Mr. Jan Holzer

Jan Mark Holzer is a Senior Consulting Engineer in Red Hat's CTO office.

In his role, Jan is helping Red Hat's large and strategic customers to leverage new and upcoming emerging technologies in their IT environments. This includes building proof of concept deployments as well as working with customers to (re)architect their IT environment around OpenSource technologies.

As a member of the CTO office he is leading the team responsible for Emerging Technologies.

He also is the primary interface for customers into Red Hat's R&D organization and the CTO office.

His current focus is Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Large System Scalability and Automation, Stateless, High Performance Computing and many other emerging technologies in the Linux and datacenter space.

He has consulted various large customers and government organization in building their next generation IT and Cloud Computing infrastructure to include OpenSource technologies.

Jan has more than 20 years experience as an IT/Datacenter Technologist/Architect and Senior Consulting engineer at Digital, Compaq, Hewlett Packard and Red Hat.

He is a regular speaker at industry events covering a broad range of topics.

He has also worked with many mission critical customer on remedial issues and was the technical lead for a group of consulting engineers providing fly and fix support directly out of the Engineering/R&D organization at HP. Before joining Red Hat he was a member of the Strategic Planning and Architecture group of HP's Business Critical Server group.

In his role he has worked with many of the Fortune 100 companies and worked on (and supported) various UNIX, Linux, Windows and other operating systems.

Mr. Wee Toon Chwee

Mr Wee Toon Chwee has over 10 years of professional experience in information technology, including Information Security, System Network, Application Integration, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Server virtualization.

As Chief System Consultant, Toon Chwee is responsible for providing pre-sales technical support to the Territory Manager, handling major accounts in the Hong Kong territory. He also provides technical assistance for local marketing events. He has also obtained the Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) and VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.

Prior to joining VMware, Toon Chwee was a pre-sales Consultant at RSA Security, where he was involved in many major information security implementations in South Asia.
