Mr Jeremy Godfrey has had an extensive career in the ICT sector, serving in senior positions in the telecommunications industry and as a partner in an international management and technology consulting firm. Before this, he served as a civil servant in the United Kingdom.

Mr Godfrey graduated from Cambridge University in 1984. He served as private secretary to the Secretary of State of the Department of Trade and Industry in the United Kingdom Government between 1987 and 1989.

In 1989, Mr Godfrey took up a management appointment with the Cable & Wireless Group. From 1989 to 1990, he worked for Hong Kong Telecom on the regulatory strategies for the liberalisation of telecommunications in Hong Kong. From 1990 to 1994, he worked in the United Kingdom for other businesses in the Cable & Wireless Group. From 1995 to 1998, he returned to Hong Kong Telecom, serving first as Director of Strategic Planning and then as Director of Marketing.

From 1998 to 2007, Mr Godfrey was a partner with PA Consulting Group in Hong Kong. He led strategy, e-business, IT and business change projects for the public sector and for private sector clients in the telecommunications, transportation, utilities and entertainment industries in Hong Kong and various South and East Asian economies.

Since November 2007 and prior to his acceptance of the appointment from the HKSAR Government as the Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Godfrey worked as an independent consultant advising clients on strategic issues and business change projects.

Tim has 26 years of technical, management and executive experience in the aerospace industry. Prior to his current assignment, Tim led IT Engineering Systems for Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Test & Evaluation Systems. Prior to this, Tim supported Boeing Capital Corporation as Director of Information Systems. In this role, he was responsible for all computing systems and initiatives.

Tim started his career with Rockwell International in 1984 where he held numerous technical and management positions at Rockwell's North American Aircraft Operations and Rocketdyne divisions.

Pabs Medrero is currently the Senior Director, Information Technology (IT) - Asia of CB Richard Ellis, the global leader in real estate services. Pabs is based in Hong Kong and manages all aspects of the IT services and support for CBRE's business across the Asian region. He has overall responsibility for the development of the IT plans for Asia and the successful deployment of its IT production environments and underlying CBRE technology infrastructures. Peter Mo is Head of IT for Greater China at Credit Suisse Asia Pacific. He is responsible for leading and managing all IT services and deliveries to the bank's Investment Bank, Private Bank, Asset Management and Shared Services functions in Hong Kong, Taiwan and People's Republic of China.

Mr Mo joined Credit Suisse in 1998 and has worked in Application Development, Fixed Income Front Office IT, Project Office and Operational Excellence, Regional IT COO and IT Risk and Security Management.

He started his career in Accenture specialising in information technology consultancy for financial services. He has since worked in Canada, the United States, Japan and Hong Kong.

After starting his career in retail management, Andrew made the switch to a focus of technology 20 years ago. He has served as the CIO for Grant Thornton in Hong Kong for 15 years and has recently taken on a regional role in addition to his domestic responsibilities. Within the Hong Kong firm he oversees all aspects of technology usage, although he considers strategy, policy and governance to be the areas in which he can add most value. His regional role is concerned with facilitating collaboration between member firms in each country and encouraging the adoption of global standards and shared services.   Daniel Lai, BBS, JP

Daniel Lai is a seasoned IT professional with 40 years experience in information technology in Hong Kong and Australia. He is responsible for providing a vision for and strategic directions on IT at MTR. Prior to joining MTR in 1999, he held various senior IT managerial positions with The Hong Kong Jockey Club. He is currently Chairman of Hong Kong CIO Board, and President of China CIO Forum.

Daniel graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Management and Computing Studies and from Griffith University with a Master in Technology Management. Daniel has led many innovative and large scale IT projects and managed large computer installations. He has developed and implemented IT governance, programme and project management, and outsourcing frameworks.

Daniel contributed significantly in promoting and developing the application of IT in Hong Kong and the region, he has held many positions in public services and educational institutions.

In recognition of his contribution to the development and promotion of IT in business and community, he was awarded Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) in 2004. He was awarded CIO Awards (Asia CIO Magazine) three times in 2003, 2005 and 2008, CIO of the Year by ZDnet in 2006, China Distinguished CIO Award 2007, nominated a Computerworld Honour Laureate's in 2004, and named by MIS Magazine in 2004 one of the most influential IT leaders in North Asia.

 
 
 
  Steve Siu

Mr. Steve Siu, Director and Chief Information Officer of Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd (OOCLL) and Chief Executive Officer of CargoSmart Limited (CS), has been in the logistics industry and technology profession for over 20 years. He had held product development and consulting positions at Cable & Wireless and Jardine Logica Ltd before joining the Oriental Overseas Group.

Mr. Siu has a Master degree from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program, a Master of Science degree in Telematics, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Essex of United Kingdom.

Under his role as the Chief Information Officer of OOCLL, Mr. Siu oversaw the development and refinement of the business model and infrastructure of IRIS-2, the company's object-based client/server information systems. In 1999, OOCLL was a Computerworld Smithsonian Award finalist for its innovative object-oriented information systems. Two other international liner companies had actually acquired IRIS-2 for their operations because of its functionality.

Under his role as the Chief Executive Officer of CS, a wholly own subsidiary of the Orient Overseas (International) Ltd, Mr. Siu has conceptualized and overseen the development and evolution of CS's online portal since it was launched on October 11, 2000. CS is now one of the most advanced applications and integration services providers offering software as a service (SaaS) for the ocean container transportation industry. More than 45,000 members including importers, exporters, and transportation intermediaries are using CS to help managing their shipments with multiple carriers throughout the shipment cycle. CS's shipment management products include tools to help its users plan, process, monitor, and share their shipment information so that they can manage their shipments at ease with full visibility for planning. Mr. Siu will continue devoting his energies in modeling a complete end-to-end solution for supply chain management.

For the past 20 years, Mr. Siu has been successful in sustaining the leading edge for the Orient Overseas Group in information technology through alignment of IT solutions for all systems users. In the years to come, Mr. Siu will be continuously leveraging new technologies for developing new quality business software applications for enhancing the competitive advantages of the Group.

As community responsibility is one of OOCLL's core values which has enabled the company to achieve various recognition from the industry as well as from the community over years, Mr. Siu had initiated a sponsorship for the Corporate Project of the HKUST Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management in 2006. Under the corporate partnership with HKUST, OOCLL colleagues had supervised teams of HKUST top students with dual background in business and technology working on some innovative technology projects. Sim has more than twenty years of experience in Information Technology. He is originally from Malaysia and worked and lived in Australia for sixteen years before relocating to Hong Kong where he has been based since 1998. Sim has worked for the Victorian Government in Australia, Federation Insurance, Monsanto, Campbell Soup, and is currently the Asia Pacific Regional CIO for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) where he has served for nearly ten years.

Sim successfully built the regional Asia Pacific IT organisations for both Campbell Soup and Sony Pictures Entertainment from the ground up. Sim has been instrumental in driving SPE towards stable, standard, easily-supported global systems and infrastructure, which allows his team to concentrate on business partnership and add value by delivering on projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Despite being responsible for the entire Asia Pacific region, Sim believes in maintaining a small, tight staff where teamwork and information-sharing is the key to success. Sim's message to his team is that they work for the business, not IT, and this can only be achieved through a deep understanding of business processes.

Mr. Daniel Kwong joined CPCNet in July 2009 as General Manager, Security Services and was appointed as General Manager, Information Technology and Security Services in February 2010.

Mr. Kwong leads the Security Services team to manage and develop TrustCSI™ information security solutions and services, as well as establish strategic partnership relations with different security product vendors for strengthening the solution offerings and service levels. Mr. Kwong has over 15 years of development and management experiences in information technology areas, including working in Motorola. He was also the senior manager of Information Technology in Jones Lang LaSalle Limited prior to joining CPCNet, responsible for management of information technology in Asia Pacific Regions.

Cally Chan is the Managing Director and Vice President of Enterprise Business, HP Hong Kong. She is responsible for overall revenues and profitability, business operations and driving HP's leadership in Hong Kong and Macau.

Chan has more than 20 years of experience with HP, spanning a variety of roles for HP Enterprise Business Hong Kong. Prior to her current role, Chan was General Manager of Technology Services for HP Enterprise Business Hong Kong, where she drove key customer programs and delivered outstanding performance. Her customer and employee-centric management style led the organization to win awards from the Global Customer Experience Management Organization in 2008 and the Hong Kong Management Association in 2009.

Chan also served in a management capacity for HP's outsourcing services group as Country Manager for HP outsourcing services Hong Kong. Under her leadership, the team not only achieved remarkable growth in orders, revenue, and profit margin, but also gained external award recognition, including a gold team award from the Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence in the "Internal Support Service" category, and the "Outsourcing Team of the Year" award from the Asia Pacific Customer Service Consortium.

In her capacity as Enterprise Infrastructure Practice Manager in 2003, Chan was responsible for the development of HP's IT consulting business in Shenzhen and the e-Security Center in Hong Kong. These tasks gained significant visibility and momentum in Hong Kong as well as across the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

In addition to Chan's HP contributions, her passion for technology and customer value are evident in her personal pursuits. Since August 2007, Chan has served as treasurer at the Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence, a non-profit organization, and is a council member of the Hong Kong Computer Society since 2009.

Chan has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong and an Executive MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma.

Jim Fagan is the Managing Director for Rackspace Asia Pacific responsible for implementing Rackspace Hosting and Fanatical Support in Asia and delivering an unmatched customer experience to Asian hosting market since September, 2008. During these 18 months, Jim has built and managed the sales, marketing, channel and data center operations and has made tremendous growth in the first year of Asia Operation. His strategy and focus have led Rackspace as the regional leadership position.

Fagan joined Rackspace in July 2006 as the Director of Financial Operations where he built an organization of financial professionals dedicated to assisting Rackspace leadership in successfully managing the rapid growth and expansion of the company, including an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange.

Prior to joining Rackspace, Jim served as Finance Controller for Dell's Managed Service business and was responsible for the financial management and pricing structure of Dell's newly formed services division. Jim spent nine years at Dell primarily providing finance planning, pricing and operational finance support to Dell's global Fortune 500 business. Jim brings more than 11 years of financial and operational IT product and service industry experience.

Jim holds a BS in Finance from Villanova University as well as an MBA from Arizona State University's WP Carey School of Business. Jim was also a Division I competitive swimmer and team captain of the Villanova University Big East Conference Champion men's swim team.

 
 
 
  Omer Asad

Mr. Asad has more than 12 years of experience in the networking and storage arena and has extensive experience in product design, development and business development. At Riverbed Technology Asad works on Cloud Storage and Wide Area Namespace initiatives while also focusing on the wider WAN optimization networking strategy.

Prior to Riverbed Mr. Asad served as Senior Architect at NetApp's office of the CTO, where he lead strategic product initiatives targeted towards Enterprise Grid and Cloud Computing. At NetApp Asad was also responsible for driving business development initiatives with NetApp's top enterprise customers related to Clustered Storage Networking products.

Before joining NetApp, Asad was one of the file system networking architects at Sun Microsystems HPC team, where he worked on Sun Microsystems's next generation scale out storage platforms for Sun's super computing division. Omer designed and developed distributed meta‐data services and object based transactional semantics for a parallel file system with the goal of making it scale to thousands of nodes. He also represented Sun at the IETF working group on pNFS, where he helped define the object based 4.1 extensions to the NFS protocol.

Prior to this Omer was at the Solaris kernel division at Sun Microsystems, where he helped design and implement NFSv3, NFSv4, NFS/RDMA and pNFS protocols for Solaris kernel. Omer also worked at IBM Research, where he helped develop components for IBM's GPFS file system.

Omer Asad has a Masters degree from Duke University, North Carolina. He is a member and a regular participant in the IEEE, IETF and SNIA forums.

Tim Pullan is Managing Director of Experian Marketing Analytics, Asia Pacific. Tim is responsible for driving the strategies and growth of our Marketing Analytics businesses across 13 countries in the region. Marketing Analytics forms part of Experian’s global Marketing Services business.

Tim has over 15 years of international business experience He joined Experian in 2006 as Commercial Director of the UK Marketing Analytics business, joining the Asian organisation in January 2009. Prior to Experian, Tim was a partner of Lawrence Graham, an international law firm, where he specialised in cross-border outsourcing arrangements in the customer management space and data privacy issues.
