Fang Gong
Associate Partner
McKinsey & Company

Fang is an Associate Partner with McKinsey & Co., and is the core leader of McKinsey's digital practice in Greater China. He has been actively serving clients across Internet, retail, consumer, and auto industries on big data analytics, e-commerce, and digital marketing/ branding topics. In particular, he is the expert on leveraging big data analytics to drive consumer insights, CLM (Customer Life-cycle Management), and loyalty program. Fang is the author of McKinsey's iConusmer (Internet Consumer) 2015 report, and is the designer of ROOTS digital branding framework co-developed between McKinsey and Baidu.

Fang received his MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. He also received B.S. from Shanghai JiaoTong University, China and M.S. from University of Illinois, USA, both in Computer Science.


Peter Bullock

Peter Bullock is a Partner with international law firm Pinsent Masons. Peter’s background is in risk management and litigation, for clients in the IT and telecommunications sectors. He edits CCH's Internet section of its China Intellectual Property service, and advises on data flows and licensing across Greater China. He has acted in numerous disputes for hardware manufacturers, suppliers of software systems, government bodies using IT systems and in relation to outsourcing.

He leads the firm's Technology & Dispute Resolution practice in Asia Pacific. His team also deals with IT mergers and acquisitions, data privacy, licensing, intellectual property enforcement and trade marks.

With a wide network of offices and associates in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East, Pinsent Masons is one of the leading legal advisers to the Technology sector.

Geoff McClelland

Geoff has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T), having held senior roles or consulting extensively across a number of industry sectors - notably in Telecommunications, Petroleum, IT, Finance, Defence, Retail and Hospitality. Always having a strong technology focus, Geoff has held traditional IT&T staff roles as well as broader R&D, strategic marketing and corporate planning positions.

His career has taken him from Australia, to the UK, the USA and several locations in Asia. Today he is a well-respected technology advisor to several of Asia’s largest companies, especially in the areas of IT strategy, security and governance. He continues, as he has since 1997, to work extensively with the Jardine Matheson Group, one of world’s oldest and largest diversified business groups with some 400,000 colleagues, principally in Asia.

Geoff is an Australian, married with two adult children and lives in Hong Kong. He holds a MBA with a Finance major from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers [MIEEE], a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society [MACS(Snr)] and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors [FAICD].


Dr. Toa Charm

Dr. Charm is one of the few veterans in Business Intelligence and Analytics industry in Greater China. He held senior management, marketing and consulting positions in leading multinational Business Intelligence and Analytics companies. Dr. Charm was the former Regional Head, Business Intelligence Competency Centre, Asia Pacific, HSBC; the former Associate Partner, Greater China, IBM Global Business Services; and former General Manager, Business Intelligence, Greater China, Oracle Corporation. Apart from providing strategy and business analytics consulting and executive training to major clients and partners in Greater China, Dr. Charm provides advisory services to Big Data and BI start-ups in the region on strategic direction, management and funds sourcing.

Dr. Charm is a Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) of TDWI in the US. He also completed a Big Data Certification Program of MIT Sloan School of Management. The research area for Dr. Charm's doctoral thesis was Impact of Organizational Capability on BI and CRM Success. Dr. Charm possesses DBA, MBA and B.Sc. qualification. He has also completed a number of senior executive programs from Harvard, UC-Berkeley, CEIBS and Fudan University. Dr. Charm found the BI and Big Data Special Interest Group (BISIG) for the Hong Kong Computer Society in 2008 - 1st of its kind in the Greater China region. BISIG members include BI and Big Data practitioners, business executives and IT leaders from leading enterprises, consulting firms, governments and vendors in the region. Dr. Charm is the author of two books to be published in 2014 - "Strategic Success of BI and Big Data Journey in Greater China" and "Strategy - Make or Break Our Company and Career Lives".

Dr. Charm is an active speaker and moderator for international and local business and IT forums in Greater China. He has been the conference chair of the Annual Business Intelligence and Analytics Forum in Hong Kong since 2011 and was invited as a keynote speaker in the 2013 Annual Big Data Business Forum in San Francisco, US. Dr. Charm currently holds adjunct professorship in a number of leading universities in Greater China including University of Hong Kong, Fudan University in Shanghai and University of Macau. He was the former Honorary Advisor for the China-Trade Board of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Jake Sims

Jake Sims is the Head of Technology & Architecture at Cathay Pacific Airways. Mr. Sims joined CPA in 2009 to establish the enterprise and solution architecture capabilities as part of a larger IT transformation. In 2011 Mr. Sims took over management of the IT delivery practice, driving performance and productivity improvements across the project management, PMO and end-to-end delivery competencies. Mr. Sims has defined the strategy and overseen the design and delivery of key capabilities including the multi-channel platform, SOA, cloud, the core systems integration approach and the infrastructure modernisation strategy.

Mr. Sims has worked in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia where he has held roles for both consulting and industry organisations. He has developed transformation strategies for large organisations in multiple sectors using technology as an enabler and driver for change, and his experience includes strategy formulation as well as execution and project management. He has been the practice lead for the Systems Integration and the Enterprise Architecture functions at two technology services firms, and he has also worked in Project Management and Business Development roles.

Mr. Sims holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.


Wayne Moy

Wayne Moy is the regional IT Director for DDB Worldwide, the 4th largest advertising agency network in the world. Based in Hong Kong, he coordinates IT policies, projects, and procurement in the region. He is part of the global IT team headed by the worldwide headquarters in New York. Before joining the advertising industry, he worked over a decade in broadcast media for Turner Broadcasting and STAR TV. He holds a MBA degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.

Anil Raparthi is a Business Intelligence Lead at Fossil Asia Pacific Limited (HK), which is an American designer and manufacturer of clothing and accessories, watches and jewelry with ten major Brands.

He is specialized in various BI technologies with over ten years of competency. Currently he is managing entire BI services at Fossil APAC for its three major Business Groups in eight different subsidiaries/countries in APAC.

Prior to joining Fossil, Mr. Anil Raparthi worked with Bayer AG, IBM and HCL Technology where he managed various BI Projects and Services with several multi-national clients located in APAC, EMEA and AMERICAS.

He holds a ‘Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology’ from the Bundelkhand University (India).

Based in Hong Kong, Caroline heads up the e-Commerce team for Asia. Her role is to develop HSBC's global innovative and leadership position with a focus on Host-to-Host solutions, new technologies and standardisation, providing strategic advice for key emerging multinational clients on their integration projects. Before joining HSBC, Caroline was Head of Corporates at SWIFT and responsible for successfully rolling out the Corporate offering in Asia Pacific. Prior to that, Caroline was based in New York with the Treasury and Cash Management Division of SunGard, where she was responsible for introducing new Cash and Treasury Solutions to Fortune 2000 customers. Caroline is a Belgian citizen and holds a Masters Degree in International Law from the University of Brussels.

She has over thirty years of experience in software development and technology innovation in the Media & Entertainment industry, and has spent her last twenty years in IT executive positions leading major broadcast companies to use technology for business transformation and process improvement. At her current job, Mai-Wah is responsible for information and digital strategies, computing systems, infrastructure & security, technical operations, enterprise applications, online websites and mobile applications development for Next Media. Before joining Next Media, Mai-Wah worked at Univision for 17 years where she held various positions. Her last position at Univision was SVP of Digital Operations and Services when she spearheaded the Digital Supply Chain Optimization program to transform Univision from a TV broadcast centric operations to cross-platform digital media entertainment network operations. Mai-Wah was also founding member of Univision Interactive division where she led Univision.com from a start-up operation to perform and grow into a profit-making business division. Prior to Univision, Mai-Wah worked at American Broadcasting Company for 3 years where she was the director of Application Engineering, responsible for the software development of various Sales, Broadcasting, Network affiliates applications as well as website development of abc.com. Prior to ABC, she spent over 9 years at National Broadcasting Company responsible for software development for the TV network.

Patrick Ng

Adam is a long-standing Racker who joined us originally in 2001. During a short period away from our business, he joined an eCommerce provider start uprising to become CTO and helping grow and eventually sell the company. With valuable experience, he returned to our US business in 2005.

Adam has accumulated experience across many technologies, always finding ways to the best solution to a problem. He moved from Texas to London to join our International Team in 2007 as a Lead Engineer and later transitioned into leadership roles.

After building a full Support team working across our North America and European offices, Adam next began looking after our Infrastructure Services, including Storage, Virtualization, Backup, and Operational Excellence functions as part of a global team. This eventually took him to our Hong Kong office where he broadened his remit to a general manager role encompassing our sales as well as support teams. Adam’s current responsibilities include driving growth across the region and establishing local teams and relationships throughout our Asian market.
