Mr. Edward Chen

Chief Business Officer,
SAP Greater China


As Chief Business Officer for SAP Greater China, Edward and team are responsible for overall Strategy & Planning, Cloud Business Development, Strategic Partnerships and Industry Go-To-Market.This includes the definition of growth plans, driving decisions on key partnerships to help drive the business in China as well as monitoring the market for future opportunities.


Prior to joining SAP, Edward was an Associate Partner at McKinsey and Company in Greater China from 2007 to 2013. He focused on the High Tech and Telecom industries serving clients across Asia on Strategy and Business Technology topics. He has also worked at Oracle, PeopleSoft and Accenture in the San Francisco Bay Area. Edward holds a Masters of Engineering and Bachelor of Science both from Cornell University.


   

Mr. Shane Paladin
Managing Director, Hong Kong & Macau,
SAP


Shane is currently the Managing Director for SAP Hong Kong and Macau.  Shane is responsible for driving growth and operational excellence across the region.  His team is based in Hong Kong and Macau, and covers sales, customer success, business operations, presales, deal support, and license compliance.


A six year veteran with SAP, Shane has held various leadership roles across various businesses in the United States: Vice President of Database and Technologies (United States), Vice President of Sales, Strategic Accounts, (United States), and Vice President of Sales Western Region (United States).


Prior to joining SAP, Shane was a successful entrepreneur and held senior management roles with various fast growth startups in the Silicon Valley. Shane was part of the founding team at FocusFrame, a SAP testing services company, and took the business from inception to 200+ consultants worldwide. Shane also held roles with two premier startups in the United States, Ayasdi and SignalFx. As Chief Revenue Officer for Ayasdi, a machine learning company, Shane successfully grew the company from 8 people to 100+ people, and grew revenues from zero to $20M USD in under 18 months. As Vice President and General Manager of Field Operations at SignalFx, Shane took the product from inception to launch and acquired 55 customers within the first six months of product release.


Shane holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Saint Leo University, and started his professional career in the United States Army.


   
Mr. Hubert Tsang

Chief Information Officer,
Pacific Textiles Holdings Limited


Hubert Tsang is currently the Chief Information Officer at Pacific Textiles. He joined the company as part of a transformation initiative to change Pacific Textiles from an owner manager company to a professionally managed company. Prior joining Pacific Textiles, Hubert worked in the US in various capacities and industries; from providing change management advice during M&A transactions to leading high performing teams at Internet startups and financial services firms. Hubert has over 20 years of IT experience.


Hubert Tsang holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and MBA, both from the University of Maryland, College Park.


   
Mr. Allen Li

General Manager of Presales Greater China
SAP


Allen Li is the General Manager of Presales Greater China. He has more than 15 years of experience in IT industry, joined SAP in 2004, ever took different leadership roles within Presales industry and product teams.


Before joining SAP, Allen worked as consulting manager in Capgemini China. Prior to that, Allen worked at Stateline Telecom (a leading SAP ASP partner) from 2000 to 2002 as implementation team leader, engaged in the first batch ASP projects in China.


Allen holds an Engineer Bachelor degree and Management Master degree from Harbin Institute of Technology of China.


   
Mr. Daniel Goettert

VP, GM Analytics & Insight Greater China
SAP


Daniel Goettert has a Master from the Elite University of Cologne (Germany) in Modern Chinese and Business Administration with the majors Retail, Distribution and Marketing. During his studies he spent one year at Dalian University of Technology (Dalian Ligong University), Daniel is fluent in German, English, Spanish and Chinese (father German, mother Spanish, wife Chinese).


Having worked in finance and accounting for private international and state owned companies before joining the software industry (MicroStrategy, American Business Intelligence company), he applied his knowledge as Business Development Manager (leading a team of professionals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland) to present Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions especially to Finance, Controlling, Operations and Marketing departments in focus industries as Retail, Logistics and FMCG. Moving forward in his career Daniel joint SAP Analytics in EMEA as Internal Strategic Consultant to the Senior Leadership Team and EMEA Analytics Customer Officer dedicated to drive the Analytics value to SAP customers and prospects across the whole EMEA region. At SAP he could further deepen his BI and Analytics knowledge by adding EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) solutions to his portfolio.


Having the chance to return to China with his family, he took the job as General Manager leading a German-Chinese Joint Venture in the Rail and Infrastructure Industry (JV between Vossloh AG and state owned China Railway Materials, a Fortune 500 company) focusing on providing Services to Chinese Railways and PDL companies winning customers like JingHu, LanXin and HaDa.


Daniel Goettert has rejoined SAP beginning of 2015 as Vice President and GM of Analytics& Insight for the Greater China Region leading a team of Analytics Specialists and focusing on value to customer for Greater China SAP customers and prospects by bringing business cases and best practices from Global Enterprises while adapting this insight to the Chinese market and culture.


   
Mr. Kevin Lin

General Manager for HCM LoB for the Greater China
SAP


Kevin Lin is the General Manager for HCM LoB for the Greater China region of SAP. He is in charge of the business development for Cloud HCM and the overall customer satisfaction for the service delivery in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. He also played this role before SAP’s acquisition of SuccessFactors years ago.


Kevin was born and raised in Beijing of China. He completed his master’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Alberta, Canada and his MBA from California State University at Hayward, USA. He has been working in the IT industry in North America, APJ and China for a combined 20 years. Apart from the time with SuccessFactors and SAP, his HR background also came from the working experience as the VP for Greater China for NGA, another well-known vendor in the HR service space. He received multiple recognitions in the HR line of business.


   
Mr. Kevin Liu

VP, Head of Data & Database Management, SAP Greater China


Kevin Liu is currently leading Data and Database Management in SAP Greater China. He devote to helping our customers and partners to transform their business by taking advantage of the enormous potential of Internet + and Industry 4.0, also working with partners and developers to build an ecosystems based on strongly HANA big data platform.


He joins SAP from Microsoft where he was managing the Partner Ecosystems. He developed the co-selling model and practices with partners and drove the cloud transformation of the Microsoft partner ecosystem. Prior to that, Kevin was Head of Developer & Platform business.


Prior to Microsoft, Kevin had worked at Check Point as Country Manager and Symantec/Sygate at various management positions including key accounts, solution and product marketing. Kevin holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Peking University and a Master degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA.


   
   
Dr. Marcell Vollmer

Chief Operating Officer,
SAP Ariba


Marcell is COO of SAP Ariba. As COO, Marcell is responsible for all aspects of the operations for the SAP Ariba business.


Before Marcell was Chief Procurement Officer of the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) at SAP SE. GPO has approx. 220 people and deals with a global spend volume of more than 4bn EUR (Full Year 2015). In his role Marcell was also the business owner for the end-to-end Source-to-Pay Process. He has implemented a global category management organization, procurement shared services and a hybrid model with Ariba for goods, Fieldglass for professional services and Concur for Travel.


By optimizing procurement, SAP potentially saved a three digit million amount on savings, automated 50% of all manual invoices and increased productivity by 20% due to purchase-order and invoice automation.


Since he has joined SAP in 2004 Marcell was driving as Global Vice President Finance global strategic programs for SAP, like the set-up, expansion and globalization of shared services, the post-merger-integration of Sybase and Business Objects (3rd largest IT acquisition at this time) as well as reorganization and cash flow optimization programs.


Before joining SAP, he worked for DHL Express as a manager of several integration projects in Finance, Controlling and HR (Payroll and Controlling during the integration of DHL, Danzas into Deutsche Post), the centralization of the customer service center organization and the integration of the European Sales force.


Marcell Vollmer was born in 1970 and holds a PhD in politics as well as a degree in business administration from the University Hamburg, Germany.


   
Mr. Marcus Ruebsam

Senior Vice President, Strategy & Solutions, CEC
SAP Hybris


Marcus Ruebsam currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Strategy & Solutions in the Customer Engagement & Commerce line of business for SAP. In his role, Marcus is globally responsible for defining the products and execution for SAP's Solution Portfolio for Billing, Commerce, Marketing, Sales and Service. His primary areas of focus are customer intelligence and profitability, loyalty management, marketing resource management, omni-channel marketing and the social customer.


Marcus has an extensive track record of leading Sales & Marketing organizations for B2B and B2C - including sales, brand management, marketing communications, product marketing and business development. He has also been a software entrepreneur, founding, growing and selling a portal software company with more than 2000 customers. Marcus also holds a Master of Marketing degree and a BA in Business Administration from University of Kingston upon Thames, London, UK.


   

Mr. Upen Barve
Director, Head of Customer Office,
Innovation Center Network, SAP


Upen Barve heads the Customer Office of the SAP Innovation Center Network globally. The SAP Innovation Center Network combines software engineering excellence with thought leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Across focus areas such as Smart Cities, Personalized Medicine, Future Enterprise Applications, and Machine Learning, the team pioneers game changing solutions in close collaboration with co-innovation customers, partners, start-ups, and premier research institutes for SAP.


In his role, Upen is primarily responsible for managing key sponsorships, new co-innovation customers and partner relationships. Driving outcome based innovation programs and representing the SAP Innovation Center Network on external forums to foster strategic ties are also crucial parts of his responsibilities.


Previously, he was Chief of Staff and COO for Innovation.Transformation.Portfolio this team has been accountable for innovation, thought leadership, and strategy execution necessary to enable growth and accelerate transformation for Global Services and SAP.


Upen has managed wide range of impactful outcome with responsibilities spreading across areas like Strategic Co-Innovation / Incubation programs (social media business, tennis, and cricket, to name a few), Financials, Internal and External Communications, and day to day business operations.


Upen is Business Manager, Senior Design Thinking Coach & Management Sponsor of Design Thinking CoE at SAP Services. He is certified Global Business Transformation Master by the SAP Business Transformation Academy (University of Applied Sciences & Arts, Basel (FHNW) & SAP). Upen has strong executive presence and held various positions in different units of SAP in the last 12 years, featuring professional expertise of leading strategic projects, managing customer relations, innovating solutions, managing strategic projects & programs, operationalization of post-merger integration and communications, portfolio management for services, and working with the Innovation Lab. He has an Engineering Bachelor and a Master of Science in eBusiness from Germany.


Upen lives in Berlin, Germany with his wife and son. A global citizen who has lived in China, Singapore, and India, who enjoys world cuisine, travel, horseback riding, fusion cooking, playing badminton and cricket. His love for the city of Berlin encourages him to offer free services as a walking tour guide especially during summers in Berlin.
