Hoo Shu Yee

Shu Yee is the Senior Product Director who leads the product management function for Singtel’s Global Connectivity Services: ConnectPlus Service, a market leading service spanning 325 cities with 370 pops globally. She is responsible for steering the direction and lifecycle management of the entire portfolio of Singtel ConnectPlus Services, including International Private Line (IPLC), Carrier Ethernet (ELINE), Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IPVPN), and Global Internet, as well as developing and introducing new services to enterprises, leveraging new cloud networking technologies, such as the recently launched Software Defined WAN (SD WAN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) Services.

She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the ICT industry with a wide spectrum of experience ranging from technical planning to account management, with strong networking knowledge and leadership position in many prior roles. She has a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore and a MBA from Manchester Business School.

Nick Hawkins
Senior Director Product Management, Asia Pacific & Japan

Nick Hawkins is Senior Director of Enterprise Product Management for Akamai’s Asia-Pacific and Japan region. In this role, he is responsible for Akamai’s Enterprise networking solutions, which help boost productivity and revenue by accelerating in-branch applications, reduce enterprise network costs and accelerate connectivity to the Internet and public clouds. His main areas of focus are driving product strategy and functionality to match local market requirements, as well as championing regional needs.

Nick joined Akamai in 2015. Prior to Akamai, Nick worked at Polycom as Senior Director of Advanced Technology APAC. In this role he acted as chief technology and solution evangelist, to help drive the success of video collaboration and enterprise communication solutions in APAC, as well as leading a team of specialist solution architects focused on solving specific customer integration challenges.

During his 25+ years in the communications technology industry, Nick has served in a number of technical and marketing roles in high-profile networking and communications companies including British Telecom, VideoServer and UB Networks.

Nick holds a Master of Electronic Systems Engineering from York University, UK and is based in Singapore, where he has lived for more than 12 years.

Idris T. Vasi

Idris brings more than 25 years of experience in key leadership positions in both start-ups and MNCs. Prior to joining Viptela in 2015, he was the VP/GM APAC for Mavenir/Mitel and before that, CEO of DST, Brunei's leading 3G/4G Mobile and Pay-TV Operator. Earlier he was SVP Sales and Alliances for Ordyn Technologies, and with Cisco for 11 years where he held a number of senior management roles in both the US and Singapore. Prior to Cisco, he was with a New Jersey-based start-up, Dagaz, and with Siemens in various technical, product management, sales and marketing roles.

Idris is also a co-founder of a M2M/Mobile IoT start-up, iRam Technologies. Idris has a MS in Computer Engineering from Florida, and a BE from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Eddie Toh
Regional Director, Data Center Marketing, Asia Pacific & Japan
Intel Technology


Eddie Toh is the regional director for data center marketing in Intel’s Product Marketing & Business Operations Group for the Asia Pacific – Japan region (APJ). His charter is to drive regional revenue growth and managing product marketing activities in APJ with Intel data center platforms for the Enterprise, Cloud, HPC and Big Data segments; and to drive adoption through working closely with the industry ecosystem. In addition, Eddie is also responsible for product marketing in the storage, networking and communications segments.

Eddie has worked at Intel since 1997 holding various marketing positions across different groups over the last 18 years. Prior to his current assignment, he was the APAC Market Development Manager for the Intel Communications Alliance (ICA) program that focused on communications and embedded solutions for developers and vendors.

Eddie has over 21 years working experience in the IT & communications industry and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He also holds an MBA from Macquarie University (Graduate School of Management), Australia.
